Dear Parents,
At Revolution, we want to do everything we can
to help parents navigate the sometimes
treacherous teen-age years with their students.
In identifing the reasons why many of our students
are walking away from the faith after the high
school years, we have determined that those
students who have a strong foundation of faith
in the family setting are the same ones who are
making a successful transition into the "adult
church." Because of this, we have determined to
make family teaching, training, and
communication one of our 4 focuses. On this page
you'll find a variety of helps for parents
including links to web sites that will give you
resources on how to be the best possible parent
you can be. May we also encourage you, if you
attend Sunday morning at 1st Assembly, to check
out the "parenting your teen," Sunday school
class that meets in room 206 @ the 1st Assembly
campus from 10:00 - 10:40 am. The teacher is a family Physiologist and
(maybe more importantly) has raised five
children of her own. Among the resources we just
mentioned, we also hold two parents nights
throughout the school year. One night in the
fall semester and one in the spring. They range
from nights of parent training and "Q and A," to
sitting in small groups with your teens and
others and discussing various family relevant
topics. Please don't miss these annual events.
We love parents and we love to take to you about
your student(s). So please don't hesitate to
call or email if you have any questions or want
to talk to us about your teen. Thank you,
parents for all you do, what you do isn't easy,
but it's the most important job on earth!
Blessings,
Pastor Jerad and Tyler
